What is Clashdle Zoom?

Clashdle Zoom is the daily Clash of Clans zoom guessing game: the day's troop icon starts cropped to a tiny 4.5× close-up and zooms out with every wrong guess. Name the troop before the full picture appears. New zoom puzzle every day at 00:00 UTC.

How the zoom opens up

  1. The first view is a 4.5× centre crop of the troop's icon — usually a few square centimetres of texture.
  2. Each wrong guess zooms out one step: 4.5× → 3.2× → 2.3× → 1.7× → 1.3×.
  3. After the fifth guess the crop stays at its widest pre-solve view; solving shows the complete icon.
  4. Guesses are right or wrong only — Zoom has no attribute columns.

Zoom is a texture puzzle, not a shape puzzle

Zoom and Pixel use the same official troop icons but train opposite skills. Pixel destroys detail and keeps the overall silhouette, so you read shape and palette. Zoom keeps every pixel of detail but shows you only the centre of the image, so you read material and texture: fur, metal, cloth, stone, skin tone, the weave of a helmet. Because the crop is always centred, you are looking at the middle of the troop's body — which for most of the roster means chest, torso armour or the base of a weapon.

Tips and common mistakes

  • Name the material before you name the troop. Metal, fur and stone each map to a small part of the roster.
  • Remember the crop is centred. If you can see a face, the troop's head sits unusually low in its icon — that is a clue in itself.
  • The common mistake is guessing on colour alone; several troops share a palette but not a texture.
  • If you enjoy silhouettes more than textures, Pixel mode is the same roster read the other way round.
